Zorbitz… The name is synonymous with innovative, cutting edge, beautiful products that are loved by millions all over the world. Started in 2003, the mother-daughter team of Robin and Marian had a dream to change the world, one person at a time by providing meaningful bracelets, luck charms and crystals, while supporting numerous charities.  What began as a dream, quickly turned into a multi-million-dollar business and has changed the lives of millions of people worldwide.

One of the biggest fans of Zorbitz was a young musician by the name of Alex Band who was getting ready to release his new album.  Alex is best known for reaching the top of the Billboard charts many times, but would be most commonly recognized for his song “Wherever You Will Go” with his band The Calling and his hit “Why Don’t You and I” with guitar legend, Santana.  

Alex contacted Robin and spoke of some of his frustrations with the new digital age and how different it was to release an album just a few short years ago.  Alex and Robin brainstormed and thus Black Star Bracelets, the fusion of music and fashion, was born.  The idea was simple.  Every bracelet comes with a song and bonus gifts from the artist, creating a unique personal experience for the customer.  They designed each bracelet to represent an element from one of Alex’s songs on his new solo album, and the meaning of each bracelet was carefully chosen to match the song lyrics.

Each bracelet comes with a video message from Alex describing his motivation for writing the song, giving his music a very personal feel.   To make the bracelets even more personable, Alex agreed to share special behind the scenes footage, provide signed headshots and a slew of extra goodies to get a more intimate connection with artist.  He’s even giving a phone call to those who purchase all 12 bracelets, thus completing the album.  Proceeds of every purchase goes to one of our favorite charities, organ donor awareness organization, Donate Life.

We designed Blackstarbracelet.com to be a place where people could hangout, hear great music, while becoming friends with the featured music artist as they share stories, behind the scenes footage, and many special gifts with you.  We also wanted the Black Star customer to have a place to join together and become friends in this new VIP music world through Face Book, Twitter, and fan clubs.

In the future, we will be joining with the world’s most talented music artists to release their music on Black Star Bracelets as the next featured artists, thus bringing the music industry back into the stores, out of the traditional label box and into the hands of customers worldwide who are hungry for great music and great fashion.
